Hmm... I feel like posting poems again. =P.
To my mother, with love, hugs and kisses,
Because she always hits the target, she never misses,
I love you Mom, and nothing could be more true,
I love you mom, it's as sure as the sky is blue.
If I got 10 cents for every time you loved me,
I'd be a millionaire when I grow old,
If I had to pay 10 dollars for every time you hated me,
I'd get off scott free, no debts owed.
That's because you love me more than anything,
And because of that, you are my everything,
I promise to be faithful forever more,
I promise to be successful, to get a high score.
Hope is never a question when it comes to you,
Even when times are bad, you never look blue,
Love comes from you, unrestricted and in full force,
Faster than any lightning quick horse.
With you, there's never a time where I can despair,
Because you always act kind, understanding and fair,
With you, there's no need to lie,
Because you trust me, by and by,
Even though life might cause you to feel down,
You never want to confront me with a frown,
Even though times may be hard and sacrifices must be made,
You always come through somehow, causing those debts to be paid.
I know I haven't really been showing you much love these days,
But I am showing you what I feel now, and it pays,
Not with money, I have no need for that,
With love it does, I'm no spoiled brat.
My God, how time can fly,
I have grown so much, I didn't even need to try!
I'm wondering: "What happened to all those carefree times?
Where we could just relax and enjoy, making funny rhymes."
Looks like I need to grow up once again,
But if this is growing up, with all this pain,
I'd rather skip the growing, and go straight to adulthood,
Leaving the carefree times, the relaxation, for good.
Oh well, I have to thank you mom,
For all the love you've shown,
I have to thank you again,
Because I don't need it much, I've grown.
It almost brings a tear to my eyes,
As I reminisce about the good ol' times,
When we used to be so close together,
We still are, for now, and forever.
You know what? I still need your love, and your care,
Even though it is only a little bit, it counts as a lot,
Too much sometimes, the amount I forgot,
But still, there's nothing compared to you, even the dress you wear!
You might be strict, you might be mean,
I know in my heart, that this not all the love I've seen,
There's even more, from times I cannot recount,
Oh well, it's time to end this poem and close this account.
Thanks mom, for all the care you've shown,
Thanks mom, for all the forgiveness you own,
Thanks mom, for all the time you've spared,
Thanks mom, for all the times you show you cared.
Thanks mom, for every time you've pulled through,
Thanks mom, for every penny you've spent on us,
Thanks mom, for every sacrifice that didn't concern you,
Thanks mom, for every time you cheered even when we weren't first.
Thanks mom, for none of the regret you must feel,
Thanks mom, for none of the anger when we acted like a heel,
Thanks mom, for none of the depression you must have felt,
Thanks mom, for none of the damage you must have delt.
Thanks mom, for being a teacher to us when we were little,
Thanks mom, for being the one who wrapped a blanket around us when we curled,
Thanks mom, for being the one who wiped of our spittle,
Thanks mom, for being the best mother in the world,
Thanks mom, for all of the best,
Thanks mom, for all of the rest,
Thanks mom, for all of the care,
Thanks mom, for all of the responsibility you had to bear.
