I kinda like to agree,
That having a relationship is nice to a degree,
It gives you a warm feeling on the inside,
As your loved one smiles wide.

As her head rests on your shoulder,
You try your best to hold her,
You don't know how to explain it, I guess no one ever could,
But you know you'd lay your life down for her, yes you would.

For yourself, you've got a partner,
One who's like no other,
It's nice, I guess, to care and be cared for,
To have someone to cover in a downpour.

The joy of knowing that your significant other is happy,
It's certainly a feeling like no other, and it certainly isn't crappy,
To know you love each other, to have someone to hold,
Is a great attribute towards humanity, to one who is bold.

So give a damn, care for someone,
Give them hope, and hope for nothing in return,
Maybe hope will come to you someday, when you have none,
And your little spark of spirit, will once more burn.
